With facilities in Newburyport and Haverhill, Opportunity Works is a 501(c)3 private, non-for-profit corporation serving more than 300 men and women, ranging in age from 22 to 85, who come from 24 Merrimack Valley/North Shore communities. The agency operates with a staff of 150 professionals who bring a broad range of experience in working with people with disabilities. Additionally, hundreds of volunteers participate in fundraising and outreach events, serve on advisory committees, and volunteers in programs. The agency has consistently earned exemplary recognition for setting leading standards of excellence in the provision of employment, specialized day habilitation, community, and recreational services and programs for adults with disabilities

Having two Lot Attendants as committed and energized as Justice and Perrin. was noticed by our members this Holiday Season. Even when working long, back-to-back shifts in cold, wet weather, they both were cheerful and quick to offer help. I think the fact that Justice trained Perrin is a large part of what gives them the special team spirit we all recognize and admire.

In the short time Russell has been with us as a member of our Housekeeping team, his cheerful attitude and quick smile has warmed the hearts of us all. His willingness to learn new things has inspired our staff and his attention to detail has impressed our guests. I know I speak for everyone when I say it’s a little more exciting heading into work when we know Russell is scheduled to be there. Thank you Opportunity Works.

We started our relationship with OW to solve a labor problem we had for some repetitive tasks that we seemed to constantly struggle in finding reliable candidates to fill. We quickly learned that this relationship was far more than just solving this issue. The OW Team Members immediately brought enthusiasm, positive energy and an outlook on life our team didn’t even know we were missing as a group. From day one our new OW Team Members not only became part of our TFPM Team by helping us solve our labor problems, they quickly became like family to us. We are so fortunate to have had the pleasure to have the OW crew join our Team and help us in so many ways. We wouldn’t trade them for the world.

Vickie (OW Employment Specialist, who runs an enclave at Da/Pro) and her crew are a big asset to our company. We appreciate all that they do. In the year and a half that they have been here We have shipped out close to 5 million parts to our biggest customer. They have also helped out with parts for 8 more of our customers. We Hope they continue to work with us.
